Christmas Anyone?

This card was made using one of my favourite stamp sets, Poinsettia Petals and the accompanying dies, Poinsettia Dies. They are currently available in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I used a fancy-fold to highlight the beautiful poinsettia which I die cut from the silver foil paper. The poinsettia leaves were cut from Old Olive Cardstock. The card base is Whisper White. The Night of Navy was run through the Stampin' Up Cut and Emboss Machine (to be known in future as the SCEM) using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder.

On the base of the card, I stamped a saying from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. In case you can't read it, it says, "May the Magic & Wonder bloom this holiday", but in a much nicer font, clearly. The frame around the saying was cut from the So Many Snowflake Dies, again using the SCEM (see above). I added some dimension to the label by using foam tape to lift it up from the base. To finish off the card with a little colour, I used Rhinestone Basic Jewels which I coloured with an alcohol marker using Real Red.

Please leave a comment if you like this card as I'm new to this blogging thing and want to know how I can improve your experience when you visit my blog. Thanks so much for taking a look.

Here's a list of the products used and they can be purchased through my Stampin' Up Store. Simply create your own account, only your name and email are necessary, and shop away.

Productive Day Today

I felt very creative today and completed three cards. One of the cards even required me to create my own plaid background because I forgot to order Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper on my last order with Stampin' Up. I used the shawl I purchased in Scotland in June 2014 as an inspiration. Here's a photo of the shawl.

This is the card inspired by the above photo I used the Yuletide Pasture stamp set and created the plaid using Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Rococo Rose and Smoky Gray inks.

Nest up is a card using Gnome For The Holidays stamp set. Cardstock colours are Real Red, Confetti (no longer available) and Just Jade.

The last card uses a background I created using black cardstock and Micro Powders I was going for the Northern Lights look. Then I stamped and heat embossed the moon using white embossing powder. Then I added the trees from Lovely As  Tree (no longer available) and then I used the Moose Punch from SU and cut out two moose from the Balmy Blue Sparkly DSP. Sentiment is from Yuletide Pasture. I also used some gel paste and coloured it with a drop of Pear Pizzaz re-inker for the stars.

Hello, I'm Barb

I joined Stampin' Up ® on June 3rd, 2020 as an Independent Demonstrator. I'm so glad I did because now I can make my cards knowing that the products I use are of excellent quality, Stampin' Up (a.k.a.SU) stands behind their product and I want to share all the goodies with you!

Here is the first card I made using the Prized Peony Bundle and the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper (aka DSP).

To add a little drama to the card, I used the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.
